Review: FSP Hydro PTM X Pro 1000 W Platinum ATX 3.0 PSU
Today, we’re putting the new FSP Hydro PTM X Pro – a 1000 W power supply on our test bench. It’s not the first ATX 3.0 compatible unit we looked at from that company because we checked the FSP Hydro Ti Pro 1000W and FSP Hydro G Pro 1000W last year. The PSUs are not the only products from FSP (as, for example, there is a rather wide choice of chassis); still - they’re the most important ones on offer. This time, it’s a 1000 Watt model (in black) with an 80 PLUS® Platinum certificate, which means that it’s 92% efficient at 50% load @ 115 V and 94% efficient @ 230 V.
Review: Seasonic Prime Titanium 1600W TX-1600 ATX 3.0 PSU
Today, we’re putting the new Seasonic Prime Titanium – a 1600W power supply on our test bench. It’s not the first ATX 3.0 compatible unit we looked at from that company because we checked the Vertex GX-1000 last year. We also had a chance to review the non-ATX 3.0 edition with 1300 W. The PSUs are not the only products from Seasonic (because we checked the chassis -> Q704 and Q503), but they’re the most important in the offer. TX-1600 has ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5.0 compatibility.
Phanteks Revolt 1200 ATX 3.0 PSU review
Today, we’re putting the new Phanteks Revolt – a 1200W power supply on our test bench. It is the first ATX 3.0 compatible unit from that company that we looked at. It has been prepared in collaboration with Seasonic (which shouldn’t need an introduction in the PSU department). What stands out in the crowd is mainly the… lack of the provided cables in the bundle. Users have the option to select modular cables in various colors through collaboration with CableMod, a well-known cable brand.
Deepcool PX1200G ATX 3.0 PSU review
Today, we’re putting the new Deepcool PX1200G – a 1200W power supply on our test bench. It is the first ATX 3.0 compatible unit from that company that we looked at. It is a fully modular PSU; even though the motherboard connectors are not permanently attached to the housing, you still must use most of them. Deepcool PX1200G has ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5.0 compatibility. As for the wattage options, you can find the following: 1200 W (which we’re checking), 1000 W, 850 W.

FSP Hydro Ti Pro 1000W PSU -1000W ATX 3.0 PSU review
Today we're putting the new FSP Hydro Ti Pro 1000W (ATX 3.0) power supply on our test bench. The company (Fortron Source Power) is mainly known for the PSUs but also makes some chassis and the UPSes. It's the fourth PSU from them that we're checking. The last one was the Hydro G Pro 1000W (ATX 3.0 compliant), reviewed in February (and it earned the "Approved" award), and the earlier ones like FSP HYDRO PTM PRO 1200 (also "Approved") and FSP DAGGER PRO 850. The Hydro Ti Pro debuted in April '23 and consisted of two variants, with an output of 850 and 1000 W (we are checking in that article).
Montech Titan Gold 1200W - 1200W ATX 3.0 PSU review
Today we’re putting the new Montech Titan Gold 1200W power supply on our test bench. The company, established in 2016, is mainly known for its chassis but also has coolers and peripherals. The Montech Titan Gold is not the only 80 Plus Gold certified series from this company, as there are also: Century, Century Mini, and Gamma II. Additionally, there are 80 Plus Bronze – Alpha X/Beta, and 80 Plus White – AP series. But coming back to the Titan Gold, it’s available in the following variants: 1200 W (which we’re checking), 1000 W, 850 W, 750 W.

The Vertex series is a new one from Seasonic that was launched in September 2022, but with the availability specified for January 2023. It consists of 80 Plus Platinum or Gold efficiency and has the following wattage variants: 1200 W, 1000 W (which we’re checking in an 80 Plus version), 850 W, and 750 W.

Be Quiet! Pure Power 12 M - 850W ATX 3.0 PSU review
Today, we're taking a closer look at the latest addition to be quiet!'s power supply lineup - the Pure Power 12 M 850W. As a brand known for its premium PSUs, we're eager to see how this latest offering stacks up against previous models, such as the Dark Power 13 1000W that was recently reviewed by Hilbert. One of the key differences is the full ATX 3.0 compatibility, setting it apart from its predecessors and positioning it at the forefront of modern power supply technology. We'll be putting the Pure Power 12 M 850W through its paces to see if it can live up to the reputation of be quiet! PSUs and earn another "Recommended" award.
Be Quiet! Dark Power 13 - 1000W PSU Review
Be quiet! has been brewing an ATX 3.0 compatible power supply for a while now, meet the Dark Power 13. Initially released as 1000W, 850W, and 750W models we'll check out the first one. Now, don't let the non-pro title fool you, this series is carrying a Titanium 80Plus certification also, and that means it is gaming the most efficient products they have available. Also, it comes with a 600W 12VHPWR connector.

Lian Li SP850 (850W PSU) review
We’re putting the new Lian Li SP850 power supply on our test bench today. The company is mainly known for making chassis, like the O11 series (with ones like the Dynamic, Mini, or the recently checked Evo), the AIO coolers named Gallahad, RGB PSU extension cables (Strimer, which already has the 2nd version), and fans from the Unifan series. They even made a gamer’s desk DK05-F. It is another/higher-wattage version of the SP power supply series. We already checked the SP750, which we checked almost a year ago, and it earned an “Approved” award.

FSP Dagger Pro (850W PSU) review
Today we’re putting the FSP DAGGER PRO 850 W power supply on our test bench. We recently have tester their 1200 W ATX unit. Besides the PSUs, they also make some chassis and the UPSes. The series was introduced at the end of August ’21, so it’s less than a year on the market. This fact shouldn’t make it obsolete yet, as a revolution will happen in the coming months due to the implementation of the PCI-Express 5.0 generation’s power connector.
ASUS ROG Thor 1000W Platinum II (1000W PSU) review
Today we’re putting the new Asus ROG THOR 1000W PLATINUM II power supply on our test bench. The company is not so much known from their PSUs (as they’re rather associated with the motherboards, graphic cards, monitors, or peripherals). Still, we had a chance to check the first Thor at the end of 2018, when the 1200W version was reviewed (priced 329 EUR/USD), earning the “Best Hardware” award. Will the new version be as successful?
FSP Hydro PTM Pro (1200W PSU) review
We're putting the new FSP HYDRO PTM PRO 1200W power supply through its paces today. The company is most known for its power supply units, although it also manufactures chassis and UPSes. There have been no notable revolutions in electricity supplies in the last year. But this is about to change. What's the deal? Specifically because of the power connector implementation in the PCI-Express 5.0 generation.
