Introduction
Today, we are reviewing a 360 mm variant of an AIO cooler from the Asus Ryujin III 360 ARGB. We have had a chance to check both the first (over five years ago) and the second (two years ago) versions. There are two sizes to choose from this Ryujin III series:
- 240 mm
- 360 mm (the one reviewed here),
There are two color variants (white and black). Also, the “regular” Ryujin III (non-ARGB) again has Noctua IndustrialPPC (PPC-2000 PWM) fans, like the Ryujin I/II.
Compared to its predecessors, this model features the 8th-generation Asetek pump, a thicker radiator (30, not 27 mm), a new cold plate (32% larger, which should help cool the larger CPUs), and enhanced tubing (7 mm radius, instead of 5 mm). The Asus Ryujin III 360 ARGB uses an All-in-One formula, with a radiator and pump coupled into a single loop and aided by fans (3 x 120 mm). Speaking of fans, they are PWM-controlled 120 mm units. The range is 600-2200 rpm, static pressure is 3.88 mmH20, airflow is 70.07 CFM, and the noise is 36.45 dB(A). One thing that is very nice here is that they’re magnetic daisy-chainable. Again, like in the Ryujin I/II, you get an LCD Display, it’s 3.5”. It now features a larger memory capacity of 32MB (16 MB before) and supports GIFs with up to 2,000 frames (up from 500 on the Ryujin II). It allows longer, clearer, and higher-framerate animations to be played on the screen.
The radiator sizes are 399.5 (L) x 120 (W) x 30 (H) mm (L x W x H). The tube length is 400 mm/15.74 in; it’s sleeved. The pump is an 8th-generation Asetek with a motor speed range of 800-3600 rpm. The Asus Ryujin III 360 ARGB is compatible with the following CPU sockets:
- AMD – AM5, AM4
- Intel – 1700/1200/115x
As for the lighting effects, the major brands’ software is supported. The lighting for the pump and fans can be adjusted via a 5 V ARGB header on the motherboard to sync it all up. We want to underline that we’re using the i9 13900K Raptor Lake processor to check the cooler and AMD Ryzen 9 7900X (previously, the systems had Intel Core i9 12900K and Ryzen 7 3700X). Asus Ryujin III 360 ARGB is sold for 339.99 USD. The warranty period is six years, which is great compared to most of the competition. So, let’s head to the specs/feature page, shall we?
