The GEEKOM AE7 mini PC package includes several items: a user manual, an HDMI cable, a thank you card, and a 120W compact power adapter. Notably, the power adapter for this model is smaller than those found in previous models yet still delivers the same 120 watts of power, which makes the device easier to transport.
In terms of size, the GEEKOM AE7 is more compact compared to older models, but it doesn't skimp on features. It's about the same size as the GEEKOM Mini Air12 (Intel N100) and even offers improved performance and enhanced connectivity options. These options include a 2.5Gb Ethernet port and a USB4 port, making the AE7 a strong contender against competitors like the Mac mini M2 Pro.
Looking at the design, the front panel of the AE7 is equipped with two USB 3.2 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a power button. There's also a full-size SD card slot on the side of the device, along with ventilation holes to help keep the internal components, including the 35W processor, cool.
Most of the device's connection ports are located on the back panel. Here, you’ll find a 19V DC input jack, a USB4 port that supports DisplayPort Alternate mode, an HDMI 2.0 port, a 2.5Gb Ethernet (RJ45) jack, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, a USB 3.2 Type-C port also supporting DisplayPort Alternate mode, and another HDMI 2.0 port. To assist with cooling, the top of the device features additional ventilation holes. Although it lacks a 2.5-inch SATA bay which could be used for extra storage, the arrangement and variety of the ports remain consistent with previous models from GEEKOM, albeit in a sticker profile.
