NVIDIA has released an update to its GeForce Game Ready drivers, bringing the version up to 555.85 WHQL. This update includes performance optimizations and feature support for several recent video games. Among the enhancements, the driver provides optimization for "Hellblade II: Senua's Saga", "F1 24", "XDefiant", and "Serum".
For "F1 24", the driver introduces support for DLSS 3 Frame Generation and DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) in DLSS 2 mode. Additionally, it includes enhancements for Reflex and ray tracing effects, designed to improve responsiveness and visual fidelity. "Hellblade II: Senua's Saga" benefits from the inclusion of DLSS 3 Frame Generation and Reflex support, aimed at enhancing frame rates and reducing latency.
"Serum", another title receiving updates, is supported with DLSS 3 Frame Generation, DLAA, and Reflex, enhancing both performance and image quality. "XDefiant", Ubisoft's arena/MOBA game, receives support solely for Reflex, which minimizes latency and improves player responsiveness.
Additionally, the GeForce 555.85 WHQL drivers expand support for optimal settings via GeForce Experience or the NVIDIA App for several games including "Bellwright", "Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut", "Homeworld 3", and "Infection Free Zone". This feature allows users to automatically configure their game settings for the best balance of visual quality and performance.
The update also extends the G-SYNC compatibility, with 11 new display models from manufacturers such as ASUS, Dell, Philips, IO-Data, and LG now validated as G-SYNC compatible. This validation ensures a smoother, tear-free experience on displays that support variable refresh rates.
Key issues addressed in this update include a fix for a random crash occurring during "Tekken 8" gameplay on GTX 10-series "Pascal" graphics cards. Another fix ensures proper GPU utilization for "Horizon Forbidden West" when using Reflex in conjunction with the Boost feature. Additionally, a specific bug affecting motion blur rendering in Blender Cycles on certain GPU generations has been corrected.
