This looks like the sort of thing intel did from sandy bridge to haswell. Overall gaming performance of 9600x is somewhere in between 12th and 14th gen i5- sort of a more power efficient, non-crashy 13600k equivalent. gotta wait for x3d zen5 to see the real upgrade for 5800x3d users.

6 cores is the absolute low end in 2024+, this processor should be no more than $199... But we don't live in normal times, we live in clown times.

Like there is nice ipc lift. But they are so conservative else that it doesn't translate to real world.
