A heat spreader does not always bring the temperature down. Rather than that, it moves the heat from the chips to the PCB, distributes it more evenly throughout the module, and eliminates potential hot spots. Theoretically, this should allow better overclocking.

V-Color Manta XPrism RGB equips the 6800 CL34 DDR5 memory modules with a silver-colored aluminum heat spreader.

The stick's total height is about 37.5 mm/1.47 inches. That’s a relatively low-profile module, so air coolers shouldn’t have problems. However, we always recommend double-checking whether any clearance issues will occur before you buy this set.
