A heat spreader does not always bring the temperature down. Rather than that, it moves the heat from the chips to the PCB, distributes it more evenly throughout the module, and eliminates potential hot spots. Theoretically, this should allow better overclocking.

Acer Predator Hermes equips the 6800 CL32 DDR5 memory modules with a silver-colored aluminum heat spreader.

It looks attractive and should make this memory kit appear nice in a build. According to the manufacturer, the heat spreader thickness is 1.9 mm, and the PCB has ten layers.

The total height of the stick is about 51 mm/2.22 inches. That’s a relatively high-profile module, so you will probably encounter problems with at least some air coolers. However, we always recommend double-checking whether any clearance issues won’t occur before you buy this set.
