Some marketing info first:

“Predator has announced a new, high capacity DDR5 memory kit for flagship motherboards and 13th Gen Intel Core processor. The Predator Hermes RGB DDR5-8000 CL36-48-48-126, which features a capacity of 32 GB, comes with an XMP 3.0 profile for a fast and effortless setup on high-end systems.
This new DDR5 from Predator stands out for its high memory capacity at dazzling data transfer rates. It is available in 5 frequencies for your preference: DDR5-6800, DDR5-7000, DDR5-7200, DDR5-7800, and DDR5-8000. Hermes DDR5 8000 memory modules let you get up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 8000 MT/s. Hermes operates at DDR5-8000 with 36-48-48-126 timings and only requires 1.45 V to hit the advertised speeds. It is suitable for overclocking and supports Intel XMP 3.0 for one-click performance tuning. It is one of the best options for unleashing new potential by offering faster-than-ever speeds on top-tier motherboards and CPUs. The new modules are available in White / Silver, / Black colors, so you can choose the one that goes well with the aesthetic of your build. These things also feature customizable RGB lighting, helping you illuminate and control every part of your PC setup.
Built with premium ICs, Predator Hermes packs a built-in power management IC (PMIC) and on-die ECC (Error Correcting Code) to maintain data integrity and sustain the ultimate performance. What makes Hermes DDR5 special is that it comes with an optional complimentary customized fan in 40 × 40mm (max. air flow: 4.72 CFM). It enables more thermal dissipation than traditional heat spreaders, cooling down your modules while ensuring stable overclocking performance. CPU compatibility is always a consideration as you plan your next-gen memory upgrade. Hermes DDR5 memory is QVL-tested and compatible with world-renowned mainstream motherboards. You can get the full speeds of the new Hermes RGB DDR5 using the latest flagship processors and motherboards.”

Enough with the marketing stuff here so we can proceed to the essence. Let’s see what we have under the hood. It shows that Hynix is the DRAM manufacturer (A-Die). Finally, the Thaiphoon Burner, an excellent utility for checking the essential data on RAM – can be used for the DDR5. You can’t find the QVL for this kit.

CPU-Z then. It shows that Hynix is the DRAM manufacturer (A-Die).

Traditionally, we’ll kick off the review with photo-shooting and the practical part (benchmark/games). You put the sticks in, enable XMP (which is, in fact, the industry standard, and it’s hard to spot any RAM without this feature nowadays), reboot, and that’s it. The chips are covered with a heatsink to ensure the memory and PCB maintain a similar temperature, providing the best performance.
