Product Installation

The Hyte THICC Q60  installation process is described in the printed manual, but you can find it on the Hyte website. We’ll show it to you on the example of the AMD AM5 platform.

You need to install the AM4/AM5 retention brackets on the pump, as normally it’s the Intel one installed in the default state.

You need to remove the standard AMD brackets from the motherboard and screw in the provided AMD standoffs.

Then - secure the pump unit to the standoffs on the motherboard with the correct 4x Thumb Nuts for the corresponding socket.

You must connect the PWM header, 9-pin USB 2.0 cable, and the PCIe power connector. Of course, you should remove the protective plastic from the cold plate. For the review, we used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut as a thermal paste.
Installing the Intel LGA 1700 is also easy (but you must use the provided backplate). You need to Prepare the Intel Backplate (unfortunately, it’s wholly made of plastic) for the correct socket and then secure the Intel Standoffs to the motherboard and Intel Backplate.
